We're wishing happy birthday to two United players today. Brazilian defender Rafael turns 24 and winger Ashley Young is 29.
Rafael moved to Old Trafford from Fluminense six years ago, along with twin brother Fabio, and was nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award during his first full campaign as the Reds won the league title in 2008/09. Since then he has added two more Premier League crowns and the League Cup, having made 159 appearances so far.
Young made a fine start to his United career with a stunning performance in an 8-2 hammering of Arsenal, scoring twice in the process. He has 11 goals in 86 games to date, with three fine efforts in 2013/14, including a top-drawer strike against West Ham that was among the contenders to be named the club's Goal of the Season.
